    • Purpose: Use in Political Science classes to develop an understanding of one's political philosophy and how it compares to the political philosophy of others.

    • Description: Data and documentation for 2000 Census tract level single race and ethnic population estimates for Los Angeles County.  The single race estimates use Jim Allen and Gene Turner's technique for fractional assignment of multiracial populations.  With their permission, their paper explaining the technique is available at this site. 
    • Purpose: The site is designed for use with GIS and/or demographic teaching exercises and student projects.
